It is warm but still too early to start gardening here in the 505. This year we are trying something new. We built up a new raised garden a while back and now we have grid it out to do “square-foot” gardening… using high density squares, we have strategically picked plants to grow per square foot. The current plan is shown below but since it may freeze one more time, Dad has begun seed starting via the AeroGarden.
| Tomato (1) | Garden Beans Pole (4) Garden Beans Bush (3) | Garden Beans Pole (4) Garden Beans Bush (3) | Garden Beans Pole (4) Garden Beans Bush (3) |
| Cauliflower (1) | Cauliflower (1) | Peppers (1) | Peppers (1) |
| Brocolli (1) | Brocolli (1) | Yellow Onions (9) | Lettuce (4) |
| Parsley (2) Oregano (2) | Spinach (9) | Spinach (9) | Spinach (9) |
UPDATE (March 30): March 31st will be a cold snap day but not a hard freeze. Dad predicts that’s it for cold and so he planted the green beans right in the soil in the garden.
UPDATE (May 5): Bought
UPDATE(May 11): Main floret of brocolli were harvested, could have been harvested earlier
