I typically put it in the x-z plane so that when you view &#8220;TOP&#8221; you&#8217;re looking down on the canvas.  Note: if the cookie has a specific direction, we are building it from the handle side first so mirroring the picture would produce the correct shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mom typically wants 3.5-4&#8243; sugar cookies, so right click on the canvas in the Browser Tree and select Calibrate.  Using two points, select an ideal distance and it will scale appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now is the tedious part, with the canvas visible, create a sketch.  Then use points to outline the shape you desire.  Dad typically use fit point splines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hint:  if there&#8217;s symmetry, create only half of the sketch. press {L} to create a line and draw a mirror line.
